

CLIF FAMILY WINERY.
Clif Family Winery a.k.a. the creators of the Clif Bar, approached us to reimagine their packaging, seeking a refresh that aligned with their values of sustainability, transparency, and craft. As fellow B Corps, we collaborated closely to update their packaging system for greater sustainability while embracing their adventurous, playful spirit and Napa Valley roots.
Our goal was to appeal to a younger, broader audience while honoring the brand’s artisanal identity. We developed a cohesive design system with vibrant color palettes, bold typography, and organic illustrations highlighting key ingredients. The updated packaging stands out on retail shelves, from specialty grocers to airports, with its fresh, approachable style and dynamic energy.
This collaborative project authentically reflects Clif Family’s purpose and roots, positioning them for the future while staying true to their values and identity.

OBJECTIVE
For this project, I contributed to an established packaging system by designing two new assets: a chocolate box in collaboration with TCHO Chocolate and a hot sauce label. Working within the pre-existing visual framework developed by our agency, I ensured my designs aligned seamlessly with the brand’s aesthetic while adding unique touches to highlight each product’s identity.
APPROACH
For the chocolate bar and hot sauce packaging, it was essential to adapt the pre-established design system, moving slightly away from the monochrome illustrations to vividly showcase the ingredients unique to these products. The chocolate bar, created in collaboration with TCHO, needed to feel cohesive with both Clif Family and TCHO’s branding while standing out among TCHO’s other collaborations. Inspired by the essence of the ingredients—wine and chocolate—and the vibrant hues of Napa Valley at dusk. This approach ensured the packaging honored both brands’ identities while bringing a fresh, vibrant perspective to Clif Family’s product line.
